I hope you are all enjoying the first days of your winter break. We know, all too well, how the time to rejuvenate goes all too quickly. As soon as you remember how to relax, it’s time to get ready for the return. And while I certainly don’t want to add to that already burgeoning list of things to do, I also know that just the right catalyst for reviving your classroom spirit can be a little of your own learning.
So, I thought I’d give you quick access to all of the installments, so far, in our “Let’s Chat Core”
series—just in case you’re thinking of catching up on the Common Core State Standards in the next couple of weeks.
A good place to get started is with my first video webinar “Learning to Read the Core: A View from 30,000 Feet.”
Then, you can move on to a couple of Q & A blogs that examine frequently asked questions about the Core Standards:
In our second video webinar, I start to unpack the Core Standards
in a “think aloud.”
And, my most recent blog is a “go-to” toolbox for teachers
transitioning to the Core.
We are taking a newsletter break next week, but we’ll be back in your inbox the first week of January—and our Let’s Chat Core series will tackle many more Core questions over the next three months.
Happy Holidays, and enjoy your break!
