Hi Member,
We love getting your virtual “ah-ha” moments when you tell us that video can make the Standards “come alive” as you’re learning more about the Common Core. So, to celebrate your epiphanies and our excitement in helping you see effective instruction, we bring you two more enthusiastic classrooms.

As you enter one math and one ELA classroom, be sure to record your own “ah-ha” moment in the discussion area below each video. We want to share that collective insight!

First, let’s watch Mr. Crandall work with his 3rd grade “mathematicians” as they reason about multiplication and division.  It’s delightful to see his students really get it.

Now, let’s head to Ms. Novak’s 7th grade class where she writes the Common Core focus for that day’s lesson on the board so her students know exactly what they are learning, and why.

And, to wrap up, I’d like to share this short video featuring high school teacher Esther Wu.  She has a great strategy to help parents understand the Core.
