Notes from the Tch Laureates

In my school district, we're in the midst of setup week. Bulletin boards, furniture, unit plans, and materials are all finding their place. It's important to think through the physical environment, which is why you might want to look into the Setting Up Your Classroom Deep Dive. But physical setup isn't enough. To have a great year we also need to set ourselves up to grow our practice and set up our students for success in learning.

To these ends, check out this month's feature on making learning visible to be more responsive to our students. See how Laureate Josh Kwon finds the benefit in floating among other teachers' classrooms as a new teacher. Send a snapshot of your classroom layout to meet Sarah’s challenge. And if there's an engineering teacher in your life, set them up for success with the PBS LearningMedia, WGBH, and Teaching Channel's Webinar on Engineering and the Design Process.
