Member,
We know exactly how busy this time of year is for you, so we're keeping it practical for the next few weeks. This week, a few tips and tools to help you with some of the most important ingredients for a successful school year: establishing ground rules, consistency, and a strong class culture.
- Ground Rules: Make classroom boundaries clear. Students should never wonder if X is okay or not...
- Consistency: When students know what to expect from your class, it becomes a safe place. Be consistent in your rules and schedule, and students will always be happy to show up at your door.
- Class Culture: Nothing goes further than a little fun. Use games to build trust and help students get to know each other and you.
- See all 3 in Action: Featured Teacher Nick Romagnolo (see below) takes you on a guided tour in six minutes or less.
