Sarah's Notes

As teachers, we know how essential it is for us to continually keep those synapses firing. And what better way to do that than construct our own learning, curate our own opportunities and pathways, that will launch us into more dynamic classrooms.

My colleague, Gretchen Vierstra, has already started some of this work for us in her blog, full of all kinds of approaches to and resources for finding your “just right” combination of professional learning. And yet it’s ultimately up to you — perhaps in collaboration with colleagues — to figure out what might work, what will allow you to connect back to what you already know, while leaving room for the new, the innovative, the transformative. However you decide to design your next couple of months, don’t forget that a little familiarity combined with a little unexpected creates a lot of promise!
