If you love Teaching Channel, you now have more to love with Teaching Channel Plus (Tch Plus). Tch Plus is a private, subscription-based, online professional learning platform for teachers, instructional coaches, mentors, administrators, pre-service teachers, and other educational organizations.
Tch Plus not only serves up videos of classroom practice for educators to unpack nuances of instruction and student learning, it also provides a space for teachers to upload their own videos and practice instructional moves through job-embedded inquiry.
Tch Plus makes professional learning actionable, evidence-based, and localized as teachers explore new strategies, approaches, techniques, or tools. Take a peek!
“A change will do you good.” — Sheryl Crow
In the coming weeks, you’ll notice that the Big Tent, our blog geared toward Teams partners, will no longer be separated from our main blog, Tchers’ Voice. We’re changing things up a bit to better highlight the amazing work our Teams partners are doing, while expanding our Tent to include more of the .org readership.
You can still expect to read inspiring stories from our partners, but as a Big Tent series occurring on Tchers’ Voice. We think this change will not only make more people who come to Teaching Channel aware of how Teams is changing PD, but increase the conversations about video learning by reading about your problems of practice. It’s part of our #aNewKindofPD efforts.
Teaching Channel is beyond excited to announce that all Teams customers can now upload their videos through our app! Our first version of the Android Tch Recorder app is now live on Google Play, and on Amazon for all of you Kindle users. We know those of you who aren’t on iOS devices are going to rock that user generated video content now that you can upload directly to your Teams sites, too!
Teaching Channel is excited to announce the launch of Learning Plans, a new feature within Groups that supports collaborative learning within your team. Designed to reinforce various professional developments models — from coaching, PLCs, mentoring, to our own Theory of Professional Learning — Group Leader(s) select goals for their team, assign learning tasks and due dates for action steps, and engage in rich discussion around the selected topic.
Think of Learning Plans as a one stop shop for all your collaborative professional development needs. Easily import content from Teaching Channel’s Video Library, share resources for collaborative learning, upload video of your teaching in practice, and get more targeted feedback on your learning needs.
