About the Author:
Sarah Brown Wessling is a high school English teacher in Johnston, Iowa. She is the 2010 National Teacher of the Year and is the Teacher Laureate for Teaching Channel. She is a National Board Certified Teacher in English Language Arts/Adolescence and Young Adulthood and co-author of Supporting Students in a Time of Core Standards: English Language Arts, Grades 9-12.
