Notes from the Tch Laureates

While I was on spring break, I happened to turn on a daytime talk show while they were having a conversation about teachers. The discussion focused on how teachers should be responsible for all of their students’ behavior. I listened for a while and thought about just how much we are accountable for on a daily basis, and how we’re often not recognized for all that we do. That’s why I’m so excited about Teaching Channel’s #TeacherLove campaign, part of next week’s Teacher Appreciation Week. Tch Laureate Sean McComb kicks things off with his #TeacherLove post, On The Shoulders of Giants. Make sure you have your tissue box ready! Sean heaps so much gratitude and appreciation onto the five teachers that were foundational in his life. Follow along at Tcher’s Voice each day next week for a new #TeacherLove post and, better yet, post your own tribute to Twitter, Instagram, Vine — just make sure to use the #TeacherLove hashtag so we can follow along. To top it off, you don’t want to miss the great giveaways from Teaching Channel — Starbucks gift cards, Tch pajamas, Tch cookies, a free course from PBS TeacherLine, and a book of your choice from Stenhouse! Much love to all teachers this week!
