      Thank you, Katie! I used Milky Way candy bars to let the children make the plates pull apart and then push together to make mountains. I LOVE your brownies idea! We also made layers of the Earth with layers of soil and clay and moved them to form mountains. I did try one new thing using towels. I got towels and stacked them on top of each other. When you pushed one side up (like another plate was pushing against it, it made folded mountains, and the children could see the folds. I had different colored towels.

        Frances- Those ideas are amazing! I want to be in your classroom. I guarantee you that your students will never look at Milky Ways the same way again. Everything is better with sweets!
