Are there workshops that teachers can go to in order to help struggling students? If so what are some recommendations? Also what about extra classes that the student can go to as well?

      Hi Vanessa, you're asking a lot of GREAT questions. There are workshops. Do you have a budget for that kind of thing? Initially, I'd recommend developing a professional learning network through this platform and through Twitter. You can ask experienced teachers really specific questions and get help and references. Often, we can help struggling students by improving our practice. In what ways is your student(s) struggling? That might be a good place to start. Yes, some districts offer support for struggling students and there are some online programs that can supplement (not replace) in person teaching. If you provide some more specifics, your community can do a better job supporting your need. Keep asking those great questions!
