Has anyone used the Dojo app in their classroom?

I am going to start using the dojoclass app to manage student behavior plans of about 5 students. Has anyone used it? If so, do you have any advice?

      I gave it a try last year. I think you need to figure out a systematic method for recording student behavior. If you don't have one, it's easy to just use it when students are off task. I'd also be sure to turn off the sound notifications. They're too distracting.

          I use it daily with the sounds; they like to hear when they get points for participation, teamwork, etc. I use it specifically to motivate my students to "move" during PE or movement time. It works great especially when I choose "random" students; it keeps me from praising/redirecting the same students all the time.

            I use it and love it! This school year, I provided my parents with codes to set up accounts. This provided another form of communication between myself and them. Some of the ways I used it in my classroom were:
            1) random selection at the beginning of class; whoever' name came up got positive or negative points based on what they were doing at the time;
            2) random selection for calling on students to share out during discussions;
            3) the ability to purchase certain privileges when I would reset the points every 5-6 weeks. I made a list of certain privileges & prices, i.e., homework pass 20 points. Students could trade in their points for these privileges, and the reset allowed students to get a clean slate several times throughout the semester.
            4) I also started weighing my categories. For example, not completing homework is -1 while talking out of turn is -2 and bullying is -3, etc.
