Question Detail

Hello, I am applying to be apart of an alternative teaching program and in desperate need of some help. How do I choose which lesson to teach to a room full of adults that is interesting, rigorous, etc and fits into a 15 minute time frame. Any ideas or suggestions for me would be Greatly appreciated. Thanks!

You may want to do a historical event and split the group into teams. You have each side have a position, then host a small debate. You can frame the rules for example each side has a turn then the other, have them switch who goes first, you can pose questions give them 3 mins to think and write down important info. Topics like wars then giving each group different positions in the war would be great or any other topic that have more than one view about it.

How about if you check out my store at teachers pay teachers? I am not promoting anything in particular but I have most things for only a dollar. Check out some lesson plans that are about a buck. I have some great ideas from my inventory of about 500 lesson plans a year.
