Hello there how can i help some of my students who are completely not interested in picking up a book and read? How can i motivate them to love reading? What kind of advice can i give to their parents, who want help and Motivate their kids to love reading books at home too?

Finding high interest reads is a great place to start. One thing I have found that often "grabs" kids who say they don't like reading has been comics and/or graphic novels. This allows students to enjoy the content without feeling the "pressure" of a big book (even though they are often very word heavy!). Modeling reading, as Lauren said is also a good idea. Try to find some interesting shorter reads for the class. This is a good list for some ideas: http://jump.aadl.org/jump/recommended/age
