Question Detail

Hi, I'm a reading and writing tutor and suspect a student of possibly having dyslexia but do not want to alarm the student or the parents (I don't find it alarming but some parents may be sensitive to it) without having a firmer basis on what exactly to look for before approaching the subject. Is there an assessment or a drill or something I could have the student do that wouldn't diagnose the student but give me enough clues to recommend the parents have the student tested?

I have no experience with dyslexia and have only attempted to do some research online and the student fits some of the criteria but there is so much it's hard to tell.
