Question Detail

Hi Tch! I'm teaching famous artists and their art styles. Right now I'm teaching them about Henri Matisse and asking them to interpret hip hop moves into painting with scissors as Matisse interprets what he sees. Do you have any other suggestions?

What a fun and creative idea! Have you looked on pinterest? There are some good ideas there:

Hi Lauren! thanks for the idea. I'm also in pinterest but didn't think i'd get an answer there. Hip Hop is for my boys classes.
You'll love the girls too. They're interpreting "Swan Lake" ballet..

Hi, did you ever find anything for your boys on Artists and Hip Hop Music?

Hello Kumiski! Sorry for the very late reply, I had surgery and on holiday. I didn't find anything although I still did my original lesson plan, Hip Hop for boys and Ballet for girls. But some of my girls preferred hip hop, too. Their work was astounding! I'll check if I have the pictures and post it in Pinterest. Thanks for asking.

By the way Kumiski, I almost forgot. Keth Haring is also one artist that I can use for Hip Hop interpretation .
