For visual art in elementary art addresses math, com. arts, science, and reading. Lines and geometric shapes and tesselations for math are just a few examples. Reading a story and having the student create a piece of art work for making meaning and comprehension addresses reading. Ask the teachers what could possibly be on the tests and many of these things are are ready being addressed. Just bring that out in the lesson.
Artistic concepts can be found in many STEM modules as well. Here is a cool wind turbine design unit which focuses on the form and function of blades.
