I'm unfamiliar with TKES evaluations; but, I'm trying to incorporate more choice into my science classes as a means to differentiate instruction. If I have a homework assignment I'm allowing students to choose whether they would like to do a traditional worksheet type assessment or create one of their own (i.e. a video of them teaching the concept to a family member). I know it's hard in science, because we need to be sure a certain concept is being mastered; but, as long as it's mastered, then how mastery looks can be different.
