How do I structure an 8th grade autobiography unit?
I'm beginning a unit with my 8th graders next week and although I have about three lessons planned already, I'm struggling to find lessons that will keep the unit organized and sequential. So far, I've planned lessons where they create a family tree, one where they will organize a life timeline, and finally another where they bring in a photo from their family and write a story about the photo in particular. Where I need help is finding other fun, engaging lessons that helps them develop an autobiography. Thank you for any and all help! (keep in mind their homework will be mostly writing their autobiographies)
