How do you go about on-boarding/inducting new staff when they come mid-year? What do you think are the most critical topics when getting new staff members who have missed the weeks of PD that preceded the start of school?
We are having some teachers who have decided to leave and I want their replacements to feel as prepared as possible going in. The teachers they are replacing are leaving due to personal decisions (staying home with a new baby and deciding to pursue work in a different field). Because the teachers are leaving the same grade level, it makes it a challenge for that team of teachers, but also for their students who have to acclimate themselves to a new teacher who has different expectations.
