Um, throw out your 'boring lesson' and rewrite it so that it engages your class.
It's all in the delivery. If you go in thinking it's boring yourself, then your class will pick up on that. It's up to the teacher to create that excitement and engagement.
Look for an interesting 'hook' to get the kids excited and motivated for the lesson. Use humor, visuals, small group questions and sharing of answers, music, relate it to other topics in your class/movies/news etc.
I agree. If you think a lesson is boring then it is...well boring. And its your stuff. Think back to when you were a student. What did you like? What do you like? Incorporate your passions into your curricula and be creative. Passion and enthusiasm are both contagious! If you have any specific ideas, don't hesitate to let us know.
