Question Detail

I am completing my masters and have a capstone project. I am doing a reading group how to guide for new teachers with incoming ELLs (in my program I am the only person with teaching experience). I have chosen to focus on vowels (because students missed grades K-1 and are struggling with vowels because we are giving them so much to learn) and building comprehension, mostly being able to do a retell. I have been using vowel activities and retell activities. I am struggling with how to put this into a guide. Any ideas would be great! When you first had ELLs and did reading groups, what was most helpful or what have you found to be the best with helping ELLs become more successful readers?
