One recommendation, though not a "book" would be the iTunes-U course, "CCSS ELA/ Literacy Shifts: CCSS for Teachers: (9-12). There are readings, video links, etc, and you could download onto an iPad. (You can find more information about it here: http://www.achievethecore.org/leadership-tools-common-core/professional-development/itunes-u-courses-ccss-teachers/itunes-u-courses-elaliteracy.) And it's free! :)
Also, Dr. Fisher & Dr. Frey's book, "Text Complexity" is quite good; they are releasing another book in the next week or two that looks promising as well.

I absolutely enjoyed The Core Six book. It is chock full of ideas to implement strategies with all grade levels. It is available on the ASCD website.
