I'm looking for examples of teachers who are embedding the opportunity for students in grades 9 and 10 to receive honors/advanced level distinction/work in a heterogenous ELA classroom. We have 2 separate tracks in our district, College Prep and Honors, for 9th and 10th grade English and we'd like to learn from colleagues who have grouped students heterogeneously with success meeting all of the students needs for intervention and acceleration in once classroom.
We are a small TK-12 District in Northern California. Total of 1700 students. 600 at the high school. We are working on creating more equitable learning environments and opportunities for our students.
