Question Detail

I teach students who need special education small group instruction on specific IEP goals in language arts and math, many of whom are ELLs. They have skills significantly below their grade placement in a K-5 all free-lunch school. I need specific instructional techniques to teach reading and writing according to CCSS so they can analyze and compose arguments about specifics in a text at or above their assigned grade level. I have 40 minutes four times weekly with them. Could you recommend meaningful and effective instructional approaches and techniques? How do I select videos and resources that meet theses parameters on the Teaching Channel?
