Question Detail

I will be teaching classes this year for students need to make up U.S. History credits and/or need to pass the Regents Exam. I really want to set a tone at the beginning of the year that these students are not "failures" and to use the struggles they had last year as motivation for this upcoming year. Any suggested activities, motivational videos, etc. I could use early in the year to help move my students away from a failure mindset?

Wow, thanks David! That's an excellent idea. I love the Habits of Mind and this would indeed be a perfect context in which to use them. Thanks again!
