Question Detail

If I am developing my own units for Common Core, how do I come up with the "Esssential Questions" for those units? I have numerous class sets of nonfiction literature that I would love to be able to use with the CCSS. They alreaqdy include cross curricular content, but I need to update them to include the essential ?'s and just want to make sure I am doing it correctly. Thank you

      Jean-

Check out some of the CCSS lessons on UDL exchange. It's an awesome resource to browse through to find lessons that allow students to work toward CCSS using universally designed curriculum. You can also build lessons there. They focus on goals and specific objectives, which could be translated into essential questions. In short, what do you want students to really understand? There are amazing resources there.
