I think SiOP has lots to offer, but oftentimes, adults are students with interrupted schooling. When I was at a training in the spring, the trainer suggested I look into Andrea DeCapua's work on Mutually Adaptive Learning Paradigm, because our high school new students all seem to be in that same boat: 19 years old with a half-dozen years of formal schooling.
