Question Detail

Need to choose a book for a read aloud for preschoolers. Any recommendations? Something that I can use to make purposeful stops where I ask questions and get the kids involved in developing language and early literacy skills. It would be my first time to ever meet the kids, so it's not part of an ongoing class. I'm in grad school and will do this read aloud as part of my field work hours. Will need my teaching points to be aligned to a common core standard (New York). Any recommendations on picture books for a preschool read aloud are appreciated!
