Question Detail

Virtual Accountable Communities

Jun 14, 2015 5:19pm

Music/Arts teachers are often roving within their districts. We see eachother a few times a year and rarely have the time to create goals together within our specialties. I'm in need of resources to enhance our relationships as teachers via Teaching Channel and/or other virtual learning/meeting apps.

Alana, have your district look into Tch Teams https://www.teachingchannel.org/professional-development-videos/teams. If budget is an issue, Google tools are great and free. Google Docs, Slides, Sheets, etc. are all easy to share and collaborate on. Google Hangouts can be used for video conferencing. Free isn't always free, and you need to be aware of potential privacy issues though. If you are a Microsoft district, look into Office365 online tools. I'm sure there are lots of other things out there, but not sure what your specific needs are. Hope this is at least a place to start.
