What makes you feel appreciated?

People often say it's the small things - the things others may not think make a difference - that keep us buoyed during tough times. What are the small things your students, families, colleagues, or administrators do that cost very little and mean more than they can possibly know?

      My students would make cards and leave them on my desk. Bring in a sprig of lilac. Just make me laugh. I always tell teachers "Thank you for all you do" at the end of conversations. Just to appreciate and acknowledge the work that is done. Acknowledge them in the company of peers or others. Bring in bakery and leave a note in the teachers' lounge. Write a note that says thanks for something that they did.
