Hi Gail! I would love to hear more about what you are looking for in terms of being in place. If you are talking about math structures, I think establishing a growth mindset and culture of learning is so important to launch the year. It creates a comfort level among the students. I do this through Number Talks (which you can easily do with a 4/5 class) and Talking Points.
