I joined the Tch Team as Editorial Content Manager in the spring of 2016. Prior to joining Teaching Channel, I taught high school History and Social Studies in Pennsylvania for more than 15 years. Over the course of my career, I immersed myself in teacher leadership. I've served as Department Chair, Advisor, Adjunct Professor, New Teacher Mentor, Cooperating Teacher, Professional Development Facilitator, Association Leader. I had the honor of serving as a member of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation Teacher Advisory Council, on several ECET2 Steering Committees, and as a presenter for Rewire. Finally, I'm a Co-Founder, Director, and Writing Coach for the National Blogging Collaborative, a teacher-driven non-profit organization that cultivates and supports the capacity of all educators to use their unique voice to elevate the craft of teaching and learning. I lead the Collaborative in engagement and social media storytelling. In my "spare time," I practice improv, dabble in stand up, sketch comedy, and musical theater, and study the art of writing satire.
