She did an awesome job of engaging the children. I saw peer/partner buddies. I see choices given for the children on what they want to work on first and where they want to work on their work. This empowers the children to be in charge of small decisions. They enjoyed talking about what they enjoyed about the lesson. I like the academic choices. Creation Stations is a great idea as well. Getting their "hands on the materials" is always important. Having the playdough - the other child has to observe and comment on what the other is doing, includes both partners. Talking through their ideas allows students to communicate and build their vocabulary as well as social skills. Repeating what the children say is important and powerful for the children. Self concept is being built up as well.

Thank you for sharing with us. I was wondering if you could share the retelling graphic organizer at the beginning of the video 1:07. I would like to use it in my class to help them with their retelling. Thank you again!❤️

Retelling is such an effective comprehension strategy! Especially for ELLs. And the fact that you've added so much choice and ownership to this strategy is fantastic. Keep it up!
