Kindergarten / History / Show & Tell

Thought starters

  1. Mr. Michaud mentions show and tell themes. How does this structure provide for more equitable discussions?
  2. How do the worksheet and Mr. Michaud's questioning provide scaffolding for student presentations?
  3. What other learning goals are addressed during this sharing time?

Hello All Am experiencing this in my fours classroom. From what I gather children want to show off item parents buy or give them. Usually it’s a transitional item sometimes but not often pertaining to what children are talking about during play times. Usually item is about ‘look what I have.’ Really enjoy this idea! Thanks ?

I absolutely love this! What a great way to teach history and learn about different items that most likely were used during their parents or grandparents time. One thing that I loved that you did during this is allowing other students to ask questions.

Thank you Sir. It was a very nice and helpful video. Could understand much better . It is really fun and kids do enjoy it. We also do at our school but the topics are much easier then what u gave them. So now its time for us to raise our bars. Thank u so much.

Show and tell seems like a fun and memorable activity. Students are able to learn and engage in research with parent involvement. It also addresses the listening and speaking standards.
