Hopefully, the co-pilot strategy works its way into classrooms everywhere. This strategy seems to provide a safe way to encourage collaboration and the value of individual opinions in students. I always consider those shy students but feel unsure of how to encourage them to participate. This strategy offers a gentle opportunity to help them share their ideas with the class as well.
