I love the way Ms. Mekita explains to the students that they will be "laying their misconceptions out on the table" so that they can then work toward everyone clarifying their understanding. This video helped me better understand the roles of questioning and formative assessment as teaching and learning techniques, and it reminded me of the importance of teacher collaboration and reflection. Does anyone have any ideas for promoting collaborative reflection when there is only one teacher teaching each subject and teachers have no common meeting time?
